Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Active Christian or Mothball?

When you look at this picture of more than 70 military ships, you see beautiful Battleships right? Well looks can be deceiving! These retired military ships, known as a Mothball Fleet, have actually been their for years and are leaching toxic substances into the water. They are inoperative ships ready to go to the scrap yard.

It reminds me of many people today that come to church: they look like Christians, carry their Bibles, sing the praise songs, and they bow their heads in prayer.

But my friend they are just going through the motions of 'playing church' as they leach toxins into the congregation? They are in a mothball fleet just sitting their being stagnant in their lives. How many of us have already joined the mothball fleet? My Friend we need to be in active service for the Lord, living every moment of every day to bring honor and glory to God.
