Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Trusting God in the midst of Fear!

David chose to trust God in his life as we see throughout the book of Psalms.

Psalms 56:3-4 "Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. 4 In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? (NKJV)

Just because we are Christians, does not mean that we don't get afraid, but the key here in verse three is that David said “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You”.

David did not claim to not be fearful but he made a choice to trust God in the midst of his fear.  He did not allow the fear to paralyze his mind but sought refuge in Christ.

We make choices every day, and in that day we can either choose to rely on our own abilities or we can choose to trust God and His sovereign plan in our lives. Proverbs 3:5-6 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.'
