Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Walk in Faith

When life gets tough and the world events seem to be getting worse, we as Christians are not shaken because we see Christ's return is near. Peter is exhorting us in 1 Peter 4:7 "But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers."

When we are serious, we keep our focus on God. As the time draws nearer, we are to be watchful in our prayers. The word watch carries with it the idea of alertness and self-control. My friend, we should constantly be in prayer, constantly in communication with God. We are to stay sober and alert to every opportunity to pray. ~ This admonition had special meaning to Peter, because he went to sleep when he should have been “watching unto prayer”. Mark 14:37-40

My friend, when the Lord returns, will He find us sleeping or watching for His return?
If you want to make the best out of the rest of your time you have here on earth, live in light of the return of Jesus Christ.

The reality is, we don’t know when our last day is. We don’t know when Christ will return. (Mark 13:32) So we need to live as if today is our last day, we need to walk in faith!
