Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Circle of Christian friends

A friend holds a special place in our hearts; therefore, choosing the right friend is very important! Proverbs 27:17 tells us 'As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.'


Do your friends sharpen you or is there no point to your relationship? Do your friends bring the best out of you? Do they ignite a spiritual fire within you to be more Christ-like? A true friend is not afraid to let you know when you stray off course (2 Timothy 3:16). We also have to ask, are we the same type of friend to our friends? We must walk the talk!

C.S. Lewis: “Is any pleasure on earth as great as a circle of Christian friends by a good fire?”

Seek friends wisely and be the type of friend that ignites a spiritual fire in those around you.
