Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Forgiveness is NOT Free!

Forgiveness is a part of life that many struggle with ... There always seems to be someone we either need to forgive or ask forgiveness of. Sometimes it seems really hard to forgive depending on the circumstances; however, We need to forgive those around us just as God forgives us!

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. ~ Ephesians 4:32

Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. ~ Colossians 3:13

We may even find ourselves asking the same question Peter did: Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

My friend, if there is someone you have be holding off forgiving, do it today!
C.S. Lewis said ~ To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you. ~

Let us think about how God has forgiven us and use Him as our example. Yes God promises to forgive us as we see in 1 John 1:9; but, I want to make it clear that this promise is NOT a license to disobey God!

Remember what it cost God to forgive our sins. That's right ~ Forgiveness is Not Free! Christ died a painful death on the cross for our sins and paid the penalty for us! This should make us want to live godly lives that are pleasing to the Lord.
