Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Live to Lead

We all leave footprints in this world; the question is, would your footprints lead someone to Christ?

The Apostle Paul said in
1 Corinthians 11:1 'Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.' Paul not only preached God's word but he lived it!

People are constantly watching us to see how we react to life's circumstances; do we really live what we say. For example, you may say 'count it all joy when you fall into various trials' (James 1:2), but do you live it?

There was once this Christian man who loved the Lord and talked about God to everyone around him. He lived his Christian faith. One day he cut his finger really bad and his co-workers watched to see how he would react. You could hear them say 'ok now let's see if he praises God'. The Christian man responded, 'I cut my finger; but, praise God, I didn't cut it off!'.

This man did not dwell on the circumstances on front of him but kept his focus on God and praised Him in the midst of his trial!

Sometimes life can be hard and things seem to go against us, but remember, God has a plan and purpose for our lives and is working for us not against us. Whatever you are going through, keep your eyes on Jesus!
Live each day for the Lord. Be a living example to those around you so that they may be drawn to God.
