Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Live Totally Surrendered

No matter what your marital status is, there is always something we can learn in scripture, even if it seems to be dealing with matters of marriage as we see in 1 Peter 3:1-7.

As a Christian husband and wife, we are heirs together. If we as wives submit to our husbands and our husbands submit to us and together we submit to Jesus Christ and follow His example, then we will have an enriching experience together. We will grow together instead of apart. When we join together with our mates to live according to God's will, when we study the word of God together, pray together, openly honor each other and build each other up, we will have happy homes.

We as children of God need to submit to Jesus Christ. We need to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Do we lift people up or are we tearing them down? Do we show compassion and understanding to those around us? Are we sensitive to each other's feelings?

Remember no one is better than anyone else. As Christians, we are all heirs to Jesus Christ. Pray for those around you. Be in the word of God daily. Build one another up instead of looking out for yourself only. Show respect to those around you that God will be glorified. Take inventory of your life and ask God to reveal to you where you can improve ~ We all can improve.
It is through our relationship with God that makes us the godly men and women that we were meant to be. Faithfully live as unto the Lord! True power and strength is found in an obedient life that yields to the influence of the Holy Spirit.
