Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Joy Stealers

So many times we allow people to rob us of the joy that we could be experiencing in our lives through Jesus Christ. We get wrapped up in feelings; what they do and what they say that sends us on an emotional roller coaster. My friend, get off the emotional roller coaster and see people through God's eyes. Sometimes people lash out because they are hurting and need God in their lives.

Throughout scripture Christ tells us how to live with one another. For example; Philippians 2:3 'Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves.' We are to put God first in our lives, others second, which would make as the verse states, us last.

Remember Luke 14:11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

We are all a work in progress and God uses each experience to molds into the person He wants us to be. Don't allow someone else to rob you of the joy that you can be experiencing in Christ. Live your life as unto the Lord and everything else will fall into place.
