Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Trusting God through life

What would you do if you were told to bow down to a false god or be burned to death?

Three young Hebrew boys in the book of Daniel; Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are true examples for us all as they faced this very question and came through it victoriously! King Nebuchadnezzar stated to the boys 'if you will not worship, you will immediately be cast into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire; and what god is there who can deliver you out of my hands?'. Daniel 3:16-18 states there answer ... They let him know that Their God will save them! But take a good look at verse 18 it says: 'But even if He does not, let it be known to you , O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up'! EVEN IF HE DOES NOT! Five amazing words! Their faith was not dependent on deliverance, but on the knowledge that God would care for them beyond the furnace. These three boys did not trust God to get their way, they trusted Him for a way through, and beyond any trial! They trusted in the fact that God was with them and trusted Him for the outcome! ~ Lloyd John Ogilvie

What are you facing today? Will you trust God for the outcome no matter what it is?
