Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Walking in Hope

Peter has emphasized walking in hope throughout 1 Peter 1: 1-12.

Through this study we have seen trials and persecution in a different light and have seen how our faith is strengthened; We have seen that through the fire of trials we are purified. My friend, you don't have to put a brave face on and pretend you are not going through trials and persecution, the Christian life is not easy and scripture tells us we will go through trials. So when you go through trials, when you go through the tough times, rejoice in the fact that God is purifying you, preparing you for eternity, strengthening your faith.

We saw in verse two how all three members of the Trinity work to bring our salvation and now in verses 10-12 the wonder and greatness of salvation, the glorious truth that God saves men from death and exalts them into the glories of heaven. Salvation is so glorious a work that even the angels are aroused to look into it and to understand what it means.

My friend, we will suffer persecution if we are living our lives as unto The Lord in front of all who come in contact with us, whether it be a stranger, a friend, or even our family.

The message of hope here is that this life is only temporary. Life is short here on earth and we will spend eternity with our Savior, so let’s make every moment of every day count for Him.

As we continue our study on 1 Peter 1:13-21, Peter will emphasize walking in holiness. I look forward to studying God's Word with you.
