Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Peace

Peter had opened his letter in 1 Peter 1:2 with a greeting of peace and now he closes with a benediction of peace.

1 Peter 5:14 "Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen." He is encouraging us in the midst of persecution by praying for peace, which is abundantly available to all who are in Christ, the Prince of Peace. This peace is far more than a mere feeling of serenity, It is the inner peace imparted to the believer as he walks with the Lord in fellowship and dependence on the Holy Spirit. This promise emanates from Jesus Himself on the last night before He was crucified. ~ John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” My friend, we can have this inward peace as we walk with God today.
