Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Serving an Extraordinary God

Our study of the book of First Peter has come to an end ... I pray your life was blessed as we gleaned from the life lessons Peter set before us.

Throughout this study we have had times of tears, times of joy, and times of conviction. The message of 1 Peter applies to us today, As we face those storms in our lives, the trials and persecution, Peter offers faithful believers comfort and hope.

Peter was seen frequently as rash, headstrong, proud, impulsive, unstable, and often saying the wrong things, But once we get to the book of Acts, we see a different man. There he is seen as a strong saint with a vibrant testimony for Christ, a courageous leader of the early church who stood firm and faithful regardless of the circumstances. God prepared Peter to minister to the Jews as Paul was to minister to the Gentiles. (Galatians 2:7-10)

Peter is a great example of how God uses us even when we fail. Peter denied Christ three times because he feared persecution. He looked straight at Christ and denied he knew him. This was a very hard trial for Peter, but through this trial Peter’s faith was strengthened and molded into a mighty servant of God. When Peter gives a message of Hope in the midst of trials and persecution, he speaks from experience. So you can see God uses ordinary people to accomplish His will. Peter was just a big burly fisherman, a family man and look how God used him in such a mighty way.
