There are two great resources here: His grace and His call to eternal glory. Everything that God does for us as Christians is because of His grace. Notice that the verse even called Him the God of all grace. Grace means favor, the favor of God. God favors us; therefore, He blesses us. Every blessing we ever receive comes from the favor of God, even life itself. Our salvation is because of His grace (1 Peter 1:10). He called us before we called on Him (1 Peter 1:2 “elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.”)
We have tasted that the Lord is gracious as it says in 1 Peter 2:3. My friend, as we submit to Him He gives us the grace that we need. Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Romans 5:2 “through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
