Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Not in Anger

How many times have we done things in anger and then wish we could take them back.

My friend, once something comes out of your mouth it is so hard to put it back; in fact, it is impossible to do it! Oh, we can try but it is out there. We see in Esther 2:1 that King Ahasuerus starts to think about what he had done in his anger. You remember we left off with Queen Vashti being dethroned and banished from the king's presence and King Ahasuerus sending a decree to all the provinces that every man should be master in his own house.

Esther 2:1 "After these things, when the wrath of King Ahasuerus subsided, he remembered Vashti, what she had done, and what had been decreed against her." (NKJV)

King Ahasuerus may have acted in anger, but God used it to fulfill his plan. Queen Vashti had to be removed in order for Esther to be able to save her people which we will see as we continue our study.
