Let's look at verse five: ”Then Esther called Hathach, one of the king's eunuchs whom he had appointed to attend her, and she gave him a command concerning Mordecai, to learn what and why this was.” So we see here that Esther calls Hathach one of the king’s eunuchs to go to Mordecai to see what was causing such distress. Verses 6-7 shows the eunuch going to Mordecai and Mordecai telling him all that had happened with the Decree. Hathach, who was appointed to serve Queen Esther was about to be used by the Almighty God to fulfill His great plan to defeat Prime Minister Haman and save the Jewish People.
Think of that! Look at how God is working His plan out. In Chapter two we saw He used the King’s Eunuch Hegai who found favor in Esther when brought to the harem. He now uses the King’s Eunuch Hathach who was appointed to serve Queen Esther.
God uses obscure people to accomplish His will, for example:
What was the name of the boy who gave Jesus his loaves and fishes in the book of John?
Who were the men who rescued Paul by lifting him over the Damascus wall in a basket in the book of Acts?
What was the name of the little servant girl who told Naaman to go see the prophet?
God uses ordinary people to accomplish His will, Think of what He can do through you.
