Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Faithful no matter what

It's not how well you are doing, it is how well you are doing when you are not doing well that matters.

It is easy to praise the Lord during the good times when things are going smooth; however, what happens when things turn for the worst when suddenly you find yourself in the emergency room facing life-threatening circumstances, or you have been diagnosed with a fatal disease? What happens when your circumstances do not change, when the Doctor says there is no cure? Will we stay faithful no matter what happens?

Shall we say with Paul; For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain ~ Philippians 1:21 or Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. ~ 2 Corinthians 12:10

My friend, God has a plan and purpose for each of us and no matter what the circumstances are that come into our lives whether good or bad are all under God's control. We need to trust Him as He knows the future and knows the larger picture. Continually call upon the Lord, He is listening and will always be with you to give you strength.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. ~ Proverbs 3:5-6
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. ~ Philippians 4:13
I will never leave you nor forsake you. ~ Hebrews 13:5
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. ~ Joshua 24:15
