Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Strength through Weakness

Another area we can develop a deeper trust in God is through Physical Afflictions.

You recall when God called Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt he protested his inadequacy, including the fact that he stuttered. But notice the Lord's response in: Exodus 4:11 "So the LORD said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD?". He says "who has made man's mouth?" He is reassuring Mosses not to worry, even though he stuttered God created His mouth and He will help him to speak. But also notice that He says, he makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing and the blind. These physical afflictions are not merely the products of defective genes or accidents; they are a part of God's sovereign plan. Notice in John 9:1-3 John talks about a man who was blind from birth, but notice in verse three that it doesn't say he was blind because of sin, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

My friend, whatever your physical affliction is, whether God heals you of it or not, we are to glorify God in it. God has a plan; He has a purpose for each and every one of us. He works through all types of circumstances to fulfill His plan, even if it means through physical afflictions. Let us say with the Apostle Paul in 2 Cor. 12:10 " I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Trust God in every aspect of your life; remember, God is in control and is always with you.
