Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Living as unto the Lord

How often do we think about the price that was paid for our sin? In 1 Peter 3:18 and 4:1 it talks about Christ suffering for our sins.

When you think about that, that Christ suffered on the cross because of our sins, why would we want to take pleasure in that sin that Christ suffered for? Why would we want to continue in a sin that Christ painfully suffered for? The thought of that alone ought to make us want to strive to live godly lives.

Sometimes we get so busy and so wrapped up in what we are doing that we forget God. Sometimes as Christians we get complacent, we tolerate sin around us, slowly we start accepting it, saying 'it isn't that bad' and allowing it to penetrate our homes. My friend, Don't accept the things of this world, live every day to glorify God. Make sure you are making time for God each day, in His word and in prayer. If at the end of the day, you cannot think of one thing that counts for the glory of God, then that day is wasted! Don't wast your life - live it to the fullest for Christ!
