Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

You are Loved

You are Loved more than you will ever know by someone who died to know you.

Scripture tells us in John 3:16 ~ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ~

Biblical scholars will tell you that in Christ's time the most noble concept of love was to die for a friend. But Jesus being God, had a love that humans could not comprehend; It was called: Agape Love. My friend, when Christ died on the cross, He died for all of us and we were all sinners. Another way of putting it, we all were the 'enemy'. So you see, Jesus did not just die for a friend, He died for His enemies. Jesus raised the bar on what love is. Man could not even conceive of dying for someone who hates them, but now we, as Christians, have this type of love, this Agape Love. It can only come through us through the Holy Spirit. This love helps us to forgive our enemies as Christ forgave us.

Agape Love - (Agape is selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love, the highest of the four types of love in the Bible.)
