Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Our Source of Strength

When times get tough, what is your source of strength?

Let's look at scripture and see what Paul and Silas' source of strength was: Acts 16:25 'About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them'. Here we see Paul and Silas as they were in prison in a most loathsome and uncomfortable condition; and though they might be in expectation of greater punishment, and of death itself; the midnight hour; there was not groans, or curses, or complaints, but joyous trustful songs of praise and prayer ringing through the prison. They truly honored God in the midst of their trial.

My friend, Jesus Christ is our source of strength! Let us lift our voices up to him and Trust Him for the ultimate outcome!

At midnight I shall rise to give thanks to You Because of Your righteous ordinances. ~ Psalm 119:62

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! I needed to read this this morning.I daily live with pain in my body and the devil would have me feeling sorry for myself every day, but God is my strength! Today I will sing praises to the Lord and remember that when I am weak...He is strong.
