Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Forgiveness

It’s not always easy to forgive those who have sinned against us, but Jesus commands us to forgive again and again.

Let's look at what Jesus said to the Apostle Peter in Matthew 18:21-22. “Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.’”

Sometimes it seems really hard to forgive, but think about how God has forgiven you and use Him as your example. C.S. Lewis said ~ To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you. ~ We are to forgive men their trespasses on the same condition that God forgives us ours. Our mercy must be just as unlimited as that of God.

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You. ~ Psalm 86:5. Thank you Lord for your Forgiveness and for your Lovingkindness! Praise your Holy Name!

We need to forgive those around us just as God forgives us!
