Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Peace on Earth

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth Peace, Goodwill toward men. ~ Luke 2:14

The peace we talk about is a special peace; it is the peace of Christ, and He alone possesses it.  Colossians 3:15 'And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts, for as members of one body you are called to live in peace, and always be thankful.'

A person can experience true peace only as he comes to know Christ.  Only Christ can bring real peace to the human heart, the kind of peace that brings deliverance and the assurance of deliverance to the human soul.  The word 'peace' (eirēnēmeans to be bound, joined, and weaved together.  It means to be assured, confident, and secure in the love and care of God.  It means to know that God will take care of us no matter the problem or circumstance.  it means to be absolutely assured that God will allow nothing to swamp or defeat us.

Helen Steiner Rice summed it up in her quote: 'Peace on earth will come to stay, when we live Christmas every day.' Live for Christ each day and allow His love to flow through you to those around you.
