Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

God is in Control

As the sun sets on another day, we rejoice in knowing that God was with us every second of the day.

My friend, the path of life is not always easy. Scripture doesn't tell us that we won't suffer from trials or feel the pain of sickness and disease; in fact, James tells us in James 1:2-4 ""My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." Notice he said When you fall into various trials not If, we are to count it joy.  The joy we speak of is an inner peace knowing that God is with us through the trial. It is a peace that God gives us knowing that He is in control and has a plan and purpose for the trial or adversity that we are facing. We need to trust that God is in control and look to what God is doing in our lives. As we learn to look beyond our adversity, we will begin to move toward the spirit filled life.

My friend, may you find comfort knowing that God is with you every second of the day and has a plan and purpose for your life. Look to Jesus, he is waiting with open arms.
