Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

May Christ’s love shine through you

In our last post we looked at the fact that we are to be ready to give a defense for the hope that is within us; now let us look further into 1 Peter 3:15 and see how We are to give this defense.
Peter says with meekness and fear or respect. We are not to go out and argue but in a loving manner present the gospel - allow them to see God's love through you. The purpose is not to win an argument but to win lost souls to Christ. It is not always easy to give a defense as some will persecute you for your beliefs; however, we ought to rejoice to suffer for God.
My friend, If we are going to win lost souls to Christ, our walk needs to match our talk. We need to make Christ Lord of our lives. Live only to please Him and not men. Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
Romans 12:1-2 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of god."
When we seek first the kingdom of God as it says in Matthew 6:33 and we present our bodies as living sacrifices not conforming to this world as it says in Romans 12:1-2, we will not be satisfied with anything less than the will of God in our lives. Living totally for Christ.
