Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Focus on Positive Not Negative

You ever think about how your life can touch another person's life? The apostle Paul shows us a great example of this.
We start off with Philippians 1:3 ~ I thank my God in all my remembrance of you. ~ What a great lesson for us all! Remember that Paul was in prison in Rome and that he was a great distance from the Philippian believers. He did not have their presence; all he had was the memory of their time together which brought joy to his soul. It is worth asking, "Am I the kind of Christian who ignites joy in a person as they think of me?".
There was a lot of things that happened to Paul in Philippi that you would think would bring him sorrow as we see in Acts 16; however, Paul did not focus on the negative circumstances but on the positive outcome and the furtherance of the Gospel. Let us take a lesson from Paul and keep our focus on the big picture as we watch God's plan unfold before our eyes.,
