Pray for Pastor Youcef

As you know we have been praying for Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani as he faces the death penalty because of his Christian faith.
He was ordered to recant his Christian faith or die, he responded 'I cannot' and was sentenced to death.  
*This is not Dr. Michael Youssef, Founder and President of Leading the Way.

My friends, Pastor Youcef is standing up for his faith and following Jesus Christ no matter what the cost!  International pressure continues to demand that Iran release Pastor Youcef, but his life still hangs in the balance.  He and his family need our prayers and support.  Please follow updates on http://aclj.org/

Encourage Israeli Soldiers

Israeli Soldiers need our encouragement to know that we stand behind them!  They are God's chosen people and this is a great opportunity as Christians to show them God's love.  A group from Christians United for Israel will be going to Israel in a few weeks and will hand deliver your message to them.

Who are You Walking With?

Oh my friend this saying is so true! It's NOT about How Far you go in Life...It's WHO you Walk with!

Listen to what the Apostle Paul said: Philippians 3:7-8 ' But all these things that I once thought very worthwhile - now I've thrown them all away so that I can put my trust and hope in Christ alone.  Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.  I have put aside all else, counting it worth less than nothing, in order that I can have Christ.' NLT

Walking Daily with our Lord Jesus Christ is what will empower you to face each day. View Dead Sea Scrolls Online!

Some of the world-famous Dead Sea Scrolls went online for the first time in a project launched by Israel's National Museum and the Web giant Google.

My friends, it was absolutely breathtaking when we went to Qumran and saw where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found and then we went and saw some of the manuscripts in Israel, but now thanks to Israel's National Museum and Google we can all see some of these Magnificent Manuscripts online!

World's Smallest but Largest Troublemaker!

The Tongue may be the World's Smallest but Largest Troublemaker, but it doesn't have to be! 

The tongue could be used for good or bad! With the tongue you can praise God , pray, teach or preach the word of God, lead a person to Christ, encourage someone and bring a smile to their face.

But that same tongue can tell lies, spread false doctrine and curse God. It can hurt another person, ruin friendships, and cause division. How tragic it is that a person's words can cause such pain in another person's life.

We need to use our tongues my friends to edify not destroy! We should build people up spiritually and encourage them rather than tearing them down bringing them pain and sorrow.

Life is Short - Don't Procrastinate!

How many of you are like me, I had a million things planned to do this summer and then realized I ran out of time? Summer is gone - kids are back to school - the trees are losing their leaves and the sun is going down a little earlier each day. Life at times seems to be too short! Where does that time go?

But my friend, there is one area I urge you not to procrastinate in and that is in your decision to follow Christ! Don't be like the Roman Procurator of Judea; Felix who presided at Paul's Trial in Caesarea as we see in Acts 24:25 where the Apostle Paul is sharing with him about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come. Felix, under conviction due to his lifestyle says to the Apostle Paul 'That's enough for now! You may leave!' And then he says 'When I find it convenient, I will send for you.'

Oh my friend time is short! Proverbs 27:1 'Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.' There is no guarantee that tomorrow will come!

James Dobson said 'If Satan can't make you sin, he'll make you busy." My friend, don't be too busy for God! Don't be like Felix saying 'When I find it convenient'. Ask Jesus Christ to be your personal savior today!

Here is how you can receive Christ:
1.  Admit your need (I am a sinner)
2.  Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave
3.  Invite Jesus Christ to come into your heart and take control of your life through the Holy Spirit

Here is an example of a prayer on how to invite Jesus Christ into your life:
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my personal Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen"

In this day of technology we are so blessed! Now with Smart phones and tablets we can have God's word with us 24/7.
