Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Be Doers of God's Word

Be a Living Bible! James 1:22 'But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.' The Christian life is not idle as we see here in James 1:22.


My friend, we read the Bible to bring transformation, not just for information. When you sit down to study your Bible ask yourself: Am I really doing what I am reading in the scriptures, am I applying God's word to my daily life? Or am I simply gathering information and storing head knowledge?

A.W. Tozer said 'Unused truth becomes as useless as an unused muscle." Don't waste the knowledge you have inquired from the scripture. Live your life according to God's word. Ask God to reveal in His word what He wants to teach you. We need to walk the talk, in other words, do as the scripture says.
