Living each day as unto the Lord: What we do here on earth determines the rewards we will receive at the judgment seat of Christ. We need to be living for God's glory and not ours so that we hear our savior say 'Well Done, good and faithful servant'. We are not talking about a work based faith where we have to work for our salvation. Salvation is through Faith in Jesus Christ, it is a free gift by the Grace of God, it is nothing that we could do to earn it but it is by the Grace of God! When Christ died for us on the Cross at Calvary he cried out "It Is Finished" because all that needed to be done to pay the penalty for our sin was complete. He paid our debt in full.
Ephesians 2:8-10 'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.' Notice it says we are His workmanship. He has a plan and a purpose for us that he has prepared beforehand – don’t miss the opportunities that is provided for us.
My friend, we should live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. We are to apply all that we have and all that we are toward a useful life for our Savior. This is what brings glory to God.
