This time of year can be very hard on many people as we approach the Thanksgiving season. We need to be mindful of those around us, of those hurting and in need. In many homes there will be family and friends gathering together, some are suffering hardships, some have lost loved ones, and some do not know the Lord as their personal savior. One thing we have to remember as we approach the Thanksgiving season is that it is not about eating Turkey and fellowship with loved ones, it is about taking a special day reflecting on all the blessings we have received from the Lord; it is about Thanking God for sending His only Son, Jesus Christ to the world so that we can spend eternity with Him. John 3:17 'For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved'.
Thank God for the greatest gift - the Gift of His Son rather than the material gifts that will one day fade away. Be mindful of those hurting a round you and show them Christ's love.
Stop for a second and recognize that God is the 'I AM'; He is our creator, our savior, our provider, and He deserves all our love and respect. Live each day for the Lord, trusting Him for every aspect of your life!
