Some people spend their time running from storms. They continually move just prior to the weather turning bad; always trying to be in the Sun Belt Region. They are known as Snowbirds.

The problem is, many Christians are the same way, always trying to escape the storms of life, when in reality we should be embracing the storms. You see, it is through the storms of life that we grow the strongest. For example, when the storm winds blow, the trees dig their roots down in deep to keep from falling over; the more storms that hit, the stronger the tree is. When the storms of life hit us, we need to dig deep into the Word of God where we will gain our strength from God. ~ Philippians 4:13 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.'
My friend, don't be a snowbird, become a storm watcher and embrace the storms in your life. James 1:2-3 'Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.'
Imagine a life that is always sunny - always easy going... It would really make us weak Christians because we would have no need to dig deep. We can embrace the storms of life because we know the one who will carry us through and Never leave us; the one who will give us the strength to face each day.
