Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Serving an Extraordinary God

Do you find yourself saying 'Who am I that God would use me'? My friend, that is what Satan wants you to think.

Satan continually tries to use our weaknesses against us to discourage us. For example, Jeremiah felt inferior because of his youth; Moses felt inadequate as a deliverer and stuttered in his speech; David was an adulterer, murderer, and self absorbed at times; Peter was presumptuous and impulsive, he had failing faith at times; and Paul was a murderer and persecutor of Christians.

My friend remember, the heroes in the Bible were ordinary people with the same faults that we have who served an extraordinary God! God will use you just as He did the heroes of the Bible. Don't let Satan discourage you from being obedient to the word of God! Remember, Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

We have to stop hiding behind our fear and our excuses and trust God for the victories that He has promised. ~ Ephesians 2:10 'For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.' God has prepared work for us to do and will equip us to do them. 'Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time'. ~ 1 Peter 5:6 Remember, You are a Child of God ... Live your life for Him!
