Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

A Changed Heart

Before God changes our circumstances, He wants to change our hearts. My friend, if we want God to work in our lives and circumstances and accomplish His gracious purpose, then we need to live by faith in the Lord.


Let us continue our study of the book of Ruth chapter two. Here in verse one we are introduced to Boaz, a man of great wealth, of the family of Elimelech - Naomi's husband. A kinsman to Naomi. We will discuss how he is her kinsman-redeemer later in this chapter.

A prime example of a changed heart resulting in changed circumstances; do you know who Boaz' mother was? Yes, Mathew 1:5 shows us that Boaz was the son of Rahab the harlot who was saved when she helped the spies at Jericho. Rahab was obedient to God's word and was blessed to be in the lineage of Jesus.

This is just an introduction to Boaz, we will learn more about him as we go on.
