As we read in Genesis 39:7-20 Joseph was put in a position where Potiphar's wife tried to seduced Joseph, and Joseph had a choice to make - he could either give in to her temptations or flee knowing it was wrong. Joseph chose to flee which was the obvious right choice. God used this injustice; however, to fulfill His purpose in Joseph's life. Yes, he was imprisoned wrongly; he was also maliciously sold earlier in his life into slavery which brought him to Potiphar’s house to begin with, but as we all know it was through these events that God fulfilled His plan.
When you are mistreated, when you are maliciously attacked, when you are unjustly accused, remember Joseph and know that God sees the whole picture and has a plan and a purpose in our lives. We need to Trust God and continually walk in the spirit and flee from ungodly choices and temptations as Joseph did. Remember that God will not allow the acts of someone else to thwart His plan.
The one thing that helps keep us on the right path, that helps us make the right choices in life is to be walking with the Lord. We need to be in His word, communicating with Him daily. We need to be conscious of God's presence in our lives moment by moment every second of a day.
