It starts off in verse one: 'To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.' You can just picture the total devotion of David here. I like how the Amplified Bible puts it: 'Unto You, O Lord, do I bring my life.' Wow, how many times do we start our day like that - Lord, I bring you my life, and put our trust in the One True God. It is well said 'When the outlook is bleak, try the uplook'. David learned this all to well. Then we see in verses 4-5: 'Show me your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.' My friend, we should start every day like this, seeking God's will in our lives, asking what His way is that He would teach us the pathway He wants us to take. Total Trust in the One True God!
