Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Blessed be the Name of the Lord

We saw in our last post that Christ said He will never leave us, but there are times when we don’t feel His presence in our lives. As we look to scripture we see that Job had a point in his adversity where he couldn't feel God's presence.
Let's look at Job 23:8-10 "Look, I go forward, but He is not there, And backward, but I cannot perceive Him; When He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him; When He turns to the right hand, I cannot see Him. But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold."
You see, Job trusted God even though he couldn't sense His presence. He believed that God was watching over him and would bring him through the trial as purified gold, and God did .
My friend, as you go through the adversities in your life, know that God is always with you even when you can't feel Him! We cannot go by feelings, we need to trust God and know as Job did that God is watching over us and is with us each and every day, through the good times and the bad.
Let us say with Job - Blessed be the name of the Lord.
