Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

All in God’s Timing

We have come to one of my favorite parts of our study; Boaz spots Ruth in the field and asked who she is in Ruth 2:5-6.  The servant answered "It is the young Moabite woman who came back with Naomi from the country of Moab.".

My friend, what a beautiful picture of the providence of God as we see how God led Ruth to the field of Boaz, remember Ruth does not know Boaz at this point nor did she know that was his field. We also see how God led Boaz to visit his field while Ruth was there, she could have easily been resting in the shelter provided when he came or had finished and gone home, but by the grace of God she was out gleaning where Boaz could see her.

Ruth may have come to the field as a poor widower but God was about to create a new relationship that would completely alter her circumstances.

My friend, just as God is working behind the scenes in Ruth and Boaz’s life, He is working behind the scenes in our lives also to fulfill His will for our lives.

We will see what happens next as Ruth and Boaz meet in our next post. Until then, have a blessed day.
