Can you feel the excitement in the air ... The day Naomi had been preparing Ruth for had arrived!
We see in Ruth 3:5-7 that Ruth did just as Naomi instructed her to do and 3:8-11 we see Boaz’s response.
What a beautiful picture between Ruth and Boaz as the night unfolded. Ruth doing as Naomi instructed according to levirate law of marriage and Boaz acknowledging as a kinsman redeemer. Boaz spoke assurance to Ruth and told her she did not need to be afraid. He told her she would be redeemed.
My friend, this was not a selfish act for Ruth, but one that would glorify God. We too need to be obedient to God's word as Ruth was obedient to Naomi's instructions. We have this blessed assurance from the Lord, that he is our redeemer our rescuer the one who will meet our needs to protect and provide for us. If we could only realize in even a small way the great love our Kinsman Redeemer has for us, we would forsake everything else and enjoy his fellowship. My friend, the Lord wants a close relationship with us, live a life pleasing to Him.
