Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

God’s Perfect Timing

Let us open our Bibles to Esther 2:21-23, we see Mordecai sitting at the king's gate.  This is a familiar scene right? We just saw Boaz in the book of Ruth conducting business at the city gate.

Well here again business is being conducted and Mordecai over hears a plan to assassinate King Ahasuerus.  He informs Queen Esther and she informs the king giving Mordecai the credit which ends up saving the kings life.

Here again we see God working behind the scene as this event will play a huge part later on in the plans to save the Jewish people.  Notice in verse twenty-three that it was written in the book of the chronicles in the presence of the king. Mordecai did not receive recognition or a reward for uncovering this conspiracy at this time; but in God's timing he will be recognized as we will see later in the book of Esther.

My friend, our good works are like seeds that are planted by faith and their fruits don't always appear immediately. Everything happens in God's timing not in ours. It is so encouraging to know that God sees our circumstances and even though it may not seem like things are going well, we can be assured that God is working in our lives according to His plan and purpose.  Be patient and plant the seeds by faith.

I encourage you to join me as we continue our study of Esther and see the power of the providence of God working in the lives of His children for His greater purpose.
