Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

What Love Looks Like

Scripture tells us in Matthew 22:37 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." So what does loving God look like in our everyday lives:

~ Spending quality time with the Lord: having daily devotions and prayer time (When you love someone, you want to spend time with them.) As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives.

~ In our conversation: Talk about God (learn to make God a part of your everyday conversation; remember as it says in Malachi 3:16 that when we talk about God He writes it in the Book of Remembrance)

~ Through our calendar: Not just on Sunday but everyday we should make time for God! (Be aware of God's presence in your daily routine). James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

~ With your character: Our love for God should flow through our character. It tells us in 1 John 5:3 'For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.'

Bottom line is that we surrender to the Lord in every aspect of our lives. It is about developing our relationship with God as we grow deeper and deeper in our Christian walk. Remember the Greatest Commandment: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
