How much time in our day do we spend with God?
If you spent the same amount of time with your friend or a loved one as you do with God, how would they rate that time spent? Would they say it was quality time spent or would they even know you were there? Did you even acknowledge them? Would they feel the relationship was all about you or did you listen to what they were saying? Would they feel as if they were the most important person in your life and that they had your undivided attention?
My friend, God wants us to spend time with Him, to spend time in His word, to spend time in prayer communicating with Him. He wants a personal relationship with us where He has our undivided attention! He doesn't want just a one way relationship! A relationship takes work, we cannot expect to know someone with one visit, it is an ongoing process - So why should we expect to know God with one visit? Cultivate a Deep Personal Relationship with God!
Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.
As A.W. Tozer said 'If you really want to be everything God wants you to be, then go straight to Jesus'.
