In some cases, the people to whom God is working through will confirm the voice of God to you and help you to see His plan. Have you had a time when you were feeling the urge of the Holy Spirit and then someone out of the blue brings up that very thing, or you hear a message from a pastor or read a post and it confirms what you were feeling? This may be God working through them to confirm His pan for you. However, I must caution you that you should rely on them solely as confirmation; these people are human and can have their own feelings and fears distort their objectivity. So we still need to take the counsel of the people placed in our lives and carefully bring it to God in prayer. God will direct you according to His will in your life ~ He will give you a peace within that will confirm His will in your life.
One sure way to know that God is speaking to you is that God will not lead you to do something that goes against scripture. So when in doubt, check with scripture. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Be aware of God's Presence in your life and trust Him to guide you.
