Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Don't be Silent!

Does your life radiate Christ's love? Wouldn't it be wonderful to have the Apostle Paul say this about you as he did about Philemon: 'I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints.' ~ Philemon 1:4-5

Philemon's testimony was so strong that it stirred Paul to pray for him, not just every now and then, but always. His testimony was steeped in love and faith. Philemon was not a silent Christian, he lived for Christ and was an encouragement to those around him. Are those around us encouraged and refreshed in the Lord? Does your name come to mind when someone needs prayer or encouragement?

Instead of bitterness and complaints, replenish their spirits by encouragement, love, and a helpful attitude. Live your life as unto the Lord! Don't just preach the word but Walk the talk! Be a beacon of light in the midst of all the darkness in this world!
