Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Come Lord Jesus

In light of everything happening in the world today, you can see the End Times are drawing closer.

I'm sure you are saying with me 'Come Lord Jesus'! Scripture tells us that we are to be ready ~ Matthew 24:44 "Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." NKJV

How are we to be ready for Christ's coming? ~ 1 Thessalonians 1:10 "and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come." NKJV

It's important to keep in mind that the word waiting in the Greek here is not some passive activity. Rather, the Greek word for wait is very emphatic which means "eagerly awaiting" -- implying a feeling that our present circumstances are only temporary. Therefore, Scripture tells us we are to be eagerly awaiting that day!

Remember my friend, this is not our home; our home awaits us in Heaven. This life here is temporary; we need to be ready to go home in the twinkling of an eye. We need to be eagerly awaiting for that day?
