Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Stand together through Suffering

Sometimes as we go through the suffering of trials it feels as if we are the only one suffering, but Peter encourages us in verse nine that we are not alone in our adversities that other brothers and sisters in the world are going through the same sufferings.

1 Peter 5:9 “Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.”

We must pray for each another and encourage each other to stand firm, that our personal victories will help someone else going through that same trial just as the personal victory of someone else helps us get through the suffering we are going through.

Both Peter and James gave us the same formula for success:
James 4:7 “Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

As Christians we not only bear the natural sufferings of this world that all men suffer, but we also suffer for our faith in Jesus Christ. We are attacked by both the devil and unbelievers as well as some believers unfortunately because we live to glorify God.
But the genuine believer has a great promise. God will take care of us through all the sufferings of this life. He will keep us, guard us, and protect us. – Our Blessed Hope
