Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Live each day for God

Thank you Lord for my life - In return I will Live it for you:In Psalm 90:12 it says: “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom”. There is an important reminder in this Scripture that life is very short. Our days are numbered; our lives are limited; Life passes extremely fast. The Bible says that a person’s life is like a breath or vapor.

Psalm 39:4-6 says: “Lord, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. Indeed, the number of my days is small like the size of a hand. And my age is as nothing before You. Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor.”

The Bible also says that life is like a shadow which only temporarily appears. In Psalms 23 David says: "I walk in the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;"

This can be very sobering, but one thing we are sure of is, except for those that will be Raptured, death is a 'sure' thing for all of us. As Christians, we do not have to fear death as Jesus Christ has taken the sting out of death. Remember where David said he walked in the 'shadow' of death? There has to be 'light' in order to have a shadow. Jesus is our light and "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8).

Realizing that life is short can inspire us to be more dedicated to the Lord.
Realizing that life is short can help us to properly value things.

Even though data may differ on different websites, below is a good estimate of how many people die every second, minute, hour, and day.
3 per every second
180 per minute
10,000 per hour
25,0000 a day

We are Not promised tomorrow, life is but a vapor; therefore, live Every second of a day for The Lord. Remember that every breath you take is a blessings - a gift from God! Live it to bring honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ!
