Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

O Christmas Tree

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, Decorated Trees in the windows and lights throughout the town are bringing Christmas cheer to everyone as they anticipate that glorious say.

The evergreen trees remind us of the Ever-lasting life we will spend with Christ; the lights, oh how they twinkle as they represent Christ who is the Light of the World. I'm reminded of the Christmas Carole ~ O Christmas tree:

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!
Thou bidst us true and faithful be,
And trust in God unchangingly.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
How richly God has decked thee!"

As we adorn our Christmas trees, we think about all the blessings God has given us throughout the years. The old ornaments bring back precious memories and the new ornaments create new ones. It is a time to reflect with Joy as we see Christ's light shine through each bulb. It is a time to praise God as He is always faithful to us as we need to be faithful and trust in Him!

Take time, my friend, in your busy schedules to reflect on Jesus Christ, our Savior - The Reason for the Season. Praise Him for the blessings that He has given you this year. Remember those who are suffering and be mindful of those who have lost loved ones that won't be there to celebrate this year - Show them Christ's love. May the Lord bless you and keep you safe this Christmas Season.

Psalm 97:11 'Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right.' NLT
