Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Brighten Someone's Day

A Christmas Candle is a lovely thing: it makes no noise at all, but softly gives itself away; while quite unselfish, it grows small. ~ Eva K. Logue ~

I love this quote - as we count down the days to Christmas it just seems fitting to talk about the Christmas Candle.

Christ is the Light of the World and as Christians we are to live our lives so that Christ's light shines through us. Just like this Christmas Candle, the flame of Christ burns brightly within us and we too can unselfishly give of ourselves to others, quietly without a lot of fanfare, without any expectation of a thank-you in return, simply giving of ourselves unconditionally so that Christ will be glorified. John 3:30 'He must increase, but I must decrease.'

My friend, allow Christ's flame to burn within you this Christmas season and throughout the coming year and brighten someone else's day.
