Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Crown of Rejoicing

Did you know there are Crowns that will be awarded at the Judgment Seat of Christ... The Crown of Rejoicing is awarded to those who have invested their lives in others in sharing the gospel. It is often called "The Soul-Winner's Crown".

1 Thessalonians 2:19 "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?" (NKJV) Every one of us has an opportunity to bear a witness of our faith to others. We can all receive this crown.

There are a lot of methods for sharing your faith, but the best method is to just tell what Christ did for you. Paul wasn't always successful when he shared the gospel, but that didn't stop him. He said to his Thessalonian friends as we see in 1 Thessalonian 2:4 "But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts." NKJV

One day at the judgment seat of Christ, our heart will be tested to see if we have pleased men or Christ. Every time we sow even the tiniest seed, it pleases God. Luke 15:10 "Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." NKJV

Just imagine standing at the Judgment Seat of Christ and seeing others who you help lead to the Lord. What a day of rejoicing!
