Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

God is in Control

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:6-7

In the Greek it is saying that we are commanded to "Be anxious for not one thing". When we truly accept the idea that God is in control over every aspect of our lives and we know His sovereign hand is in every event and circumstance whether good or bad then we need not be anxious. We Can TRUST GOD in everything!

But notice the verse goes on to say "but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." My friend, we have a responsibility to Trust God and that means praying in every situation for God's protection, His guidance, and His will to be done.

The result - "and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
