Welcome to Empowered Bible Studies

Bible study is essential to our Christian walk. As we study God's Word, our personal relationship with God grows deeper and deeper. It empowers us to live for the Lord in every aspect of our lives. This is what has inspired me to do an online Bible study.

Many years ago my husband introduced me to a commentary on the book of Colossians and I was so blessed as the Scripture came to life before my very eyes. Since that day we have developed an extensive library and enjoy studying God's Word.

I have prepared some Bible studies that I would like to share with you. My prayer is that they will bless you as much as they have blessed me in preparing them. I pray your life is touched and that it would inspire you to live every moment of every day for Christ.

Are you a Secret Christian?

As the chosen one to save the Jewish people, Esther had not revealed her identity as a Jew per Mordecai's instructions.

Let's look at Esther 2:10-11 "Esther had not revealed her people or family, for Mordecai had charged her not to reveal it. And every day Mordecai paced in front of the court of the women's quarters, to learn of Esther's welfare and what was happening to her." As you can see in verse eleven Mordecai was concerned about Esther, he paced in front of the court of the women's quarters to learn of Esther's welfare and what was happening to her" He had raised her and was concerned for her well being. Remember, these women were taken against their will, they didn't have a choice. Out of his concern and for her own safety, Mordecai warned Esther to conceal the fact that she was a Jew. They had seen the discrimination, the anti-Semitism.

How many of us could be classified as a secret Christian? When we are at work or school, with friends or with family do we openly practice our Christian faith? Do you share Christ or are you silent? Do you fear the consequences of sharing your faith and therefore choose to say nothing?
